No Sallah in Indiana Jones IV?

Maybe a little longer than average- Indiana was still alive at the time of the Young Indiana Jones series in the early 90s.

[EDIT- strange- just doing some research on the YI Chronicles, and evidently the old Indiana scenes were removed by George "Rewriting History" Lucas? Why, oh why does he do stuff like that?]

I just finished rewatching the last crusade the other night and distinctly remember that one of the knights who had made it out of the temple lived to an advanced old age. So while not bequething immortality persae, perhaps inhibibing from the cup does grant some additional years that you wouldn't normally have.

Sorta like being a half-elf vs a true elf. :)

Hay, maybe Indy and pops are now the equivalent of Aasimars since drinking from the Grail! :) :p

That and he sucks at editing and believes in constant revision (even if it means in making something worse for the sake of changing it).

That's a common misconception, but it's actually not the case.

Go back and rewatch Last Crusade with careful attention to the knight's dialogue. He says that the Grail cannot cross the seal. "That is the price of immortality." Also pay attention to Donovan's boast that he'll be "toasting his own health" long after Hitler's dead.

The Grail, at least as interpreted in the movie, only conveys immortality so long as someone keeps drinking from it regularly.

Thus, neither Dr. Jones is going to live any longer than average. They don't have the Grail to keep things going.
Actualy, all the knights who found it lived much longer than normal themselves. His life has been extrended, but even for one who drinks it, it does not grant full imortality or agelessness. I'd actualy think they could have gotten away with setting it 30-40 years later, and making a repeating joke out of how good he looks for his age.
