No Winter Yet

Hey peeps! Do you want a sub-par Winds of Winter? Do you want another Feast for Crows? Me neither.

Have I been out of the loop, or is it new that GRRM has a title for the book following Winds of Winter? You caught that, right?

And yes, I will still watch the random HBO show, just to get my fix. I doubt it will spoil the book.

Martin has always/long maintained the last book will be titled A Dream for Spring.

I doubt the ending of the tv series will be satisfactory to many fans, heck I'd bet on it, so I'm pretty sure people will flock to by the books even if they come out after the series ended. If Martin doesn't die first.

Now is the Winter of our discontent.

Any reason to think that the delay will make the book better? On the evidence of the previous volumes, the opposite would seem to be the case.

To be fair, given that the delay will allow him to finish (ie, it's not just revisions), yes, a finished product will be better than an unfinished one.

But no evidence that it'll be better than "a sub-par Winds of Winter" or "another Feast for Crows"? I didn't quote those words entirely without reason... :)
