It's funny. I waited to get my character approved, waited for an adventure...now I'm waiting for the rest of the party to die because the dm misread the way the monster is supposed to work and we rolled crappy. You know, don't bother healing me- I think I'll allow the crows to eat my flesh.

Valan goes and does the most beneficial thing at the moment.

OoC: Check check. Also tactics played a part.

That said. 1) Did Gloria ever return to the ground where it might be possible to save her and prevent another kite from spawning? 2)Is it possible to trip something that is flying? i.e. Driving it to the ground.

In the case of yes/yes. Valan will try to trip the kite on Gloria +3-1 to touch with sickle. +6-1 opposed strength.(Imp Trip) If failure abounds drop sickle. If success is assured then Free attack with sickle +3-1 1d6+2-1.

No/Yes Trip the one trying to meld with our monk.

Yes/No Attack Gloria's Kite.

No/No Attack Quozen's Kite.

(OOC: @Valan: No, she stayed up top in hopes of stabilising Dorrin with an untrained Heal check

@Jace: Ironically, that would have hit if the kite successfully melded, though there would have been a 50% chance to hit Quozen and all that

@ethandrul: I did not misread the creature entry)

*Valan cuts into the kite attacking Quozen, spilling the necrotic pus that flows amongst its rotting flesh.*

(OOC: 6 Damage, total 22 to that one. Quozen acts here)

(OOC: You forgot the flanking bonus from Valan, so you hit)

*Quozen concentrates his ki into his foot and slams it into the kite, ripping through its undead flesh and leaving it unmoving and destroyed.*

*The final kite begins to siphon Gloria's flesh and spirit.*

(OOC: Gloria takes 1 Cha damage. Everybody's turn.

Only the kite on Gloria remains. It has 19 Damage on it)

Jace reloads and holds ready to strike the kite as soon as it leaves Gloria. (Ready Action to Shoot one of the resulting kites) If she is resisting it, Jace will yell for her to 'not give it a reason to hurt her more than it already is'.
OOC: I don't want to risk hitting the AC just to nail Gloria with a bolt. She's a Wiz1, right? That's not a lot of HP. We still need her conscious to bind Dorrin's wounds, anyway.

Wait, what? I held back a few healing spells if we can get them off the horses but I really don't think we let it spawn anouther of those infernal things. Valan says sounding unsure.
