Bison (Droggle's player) decided to comment on ethandrul's Thriller remark instead of posting his character's action, so we're still waiting on him.

OOC: Wasn't Valan just buried alive? Now might be the time for our only remaining caster to share some of her resources.

You never remarked on my Encyclopedia Undeadia comment.

(OOC: As soon as she gets her turn ;) She's kind of...forgetful sometimes. But I thought she had handed it out in the kite fight--guess I misremembered. I know she didn't give anyone any of her silver or cold iron crossbow bolts, but that's because no one else seems to use a crossbow.

Oh, I'd say that your default assumption to not be the Encyclopaedia Undeadia without knowledge rolls is correct. Otherwise it's out-of-character metagaming of the worst sort, right?)

*Droggle's attack nearly makes a strong swing of the pick into the undead monstrosity, but it hits a clump of dirt encrusted on its flesh and strikes into that instead harmlessly.*

(OOC: Back to Dorrin and Hasin)

Speaking of knowledge rolls, can we get another round of them to identify them? You know, since they both just used some (supposedly) unique abilities, they should be easier to identify now. For example, it might be easier to identify a vampire if you see it changes into a bat, wolf, or incorporeal gas, or drink the blood of the living.

(OOC: Oh, that's true--Forgot about the heavy crossbow. I've never seen anyone use them before in all of 3.X, so I forgot they use the same sized bolts. Ah well, it's playing to Gloria's character to be a bit forgetful and unused to taking initiative/leading/organising. Anyway, Dorrin made his Knowledge check, but no one gets another roll.)

[SBLOCK=Dorrin's Knowledge]The Dirt-encrusted creature is similar to a zombie but imbued with strong earth-related abilities and brute strength that allow it to entomb its enemies and dig up corpses to be used to fuel necromantic rituals. This infusion with dark corrupted earth power make it vulnerable to silver.

The other thing is an incorporeal malevolent spirit with the ability to cut off clerics from their gods. They are extremely weak except for that one power, so they often accompany another type of undead that has a useful attack.[/SBLOCK]

AC 15(with charge), HP 14 of 14, Cha -1

"That brutish zombie thing is the real threat! It can be hurt badly by silver! That other wispy thing is incorporeal, so use any magic we have on it... And that won't be me, since I'm out!" Dorrin says as he charges wildly at the zombie thing, and takes a swing, hitting it, but not causing any damage as his sword ricochets off of it...

ooc: LS attack with charge (1d20+5+2=26, 1d8+2=5) Possible crit against undead.... *sigh*

Hasin adjusts to assure dorrin of a flank then strikes with a massive two handed swing.
Back into the ground with ya! And tell my old man hello when you get back to hell!!

( does not take into account the flank bonus) so i hit a 21 and did 6 damage

When he doesn't feel the creature give way under his blow, he scowlsSturdy things ain't they? let's get him to the ground, then we should have an easier time of it!
