D&D General Nolzur creates inclusive miniatures, people can't handle it.

No, what is hypocritical is you (general you from here on out) completely ignoring that low STR/CON PC's trouble to try to walk through 2 feet of mud but all the sudden crying "realism" to punish someone in a wheelchair. Want to punish someone in a wheelchair because it makes in game sense to do so? Knock yourself out. Don't have a problem with that. But I have a bit of an eyebrow raise when people start using these examples of why target people in wheelchairs while ignoring how "realism" would also make it near impossible for nearly anyone (let alone a low str/con PC) to trek through 2 feet of mud. Or to scale a cliff. Or even to climb a rope up a cliff. Have you done any of those things? They are hard. Really hard. For "normal" people. Especially if not trained. I'd bet 90% of the posters here couldn't walk more than 50 feet in 2 feet of mud while kitted out. Even with skill checks. But in game, we ignore stuff like that all the time because the game isn't fun if you enforced reality.
Okay, but I just said that the low str/con PC will also have a lot of trouble with the mud, though significantly less than trying to push a wheelchair through 2 feet of mud(not really possible).
But I bet you hand wave away most of those those things (who does nothing but skill check after skill check all night long, because that's what "realism" would be) and just assume the PCs find a way. Just like we should be doing with people in a wheelchair. Unless it's critical, handle like anything else you're assuming in every game session--assume the PCs find a way to make it work.
If I put two feet of mud into the game, it's there as an obstacle/challenge, not window dressing. A mud puddle would be window dressing. It also wouldn't stop a wheelchair. Nothing is going to be handwaved away when it comes to an obstacle like 2 feet of mud.
Hypocrisy is allowing skill checks even for the most feeble but automatically ruling "you can't do that" for someone in a wheelchair.
No. No it's not. It's at least possible for the weak to struggle through mud like that with help from others. Not even a 20 strength is pushing a wheelchair through 2 feet of mud, though. That's not hypocrisy. That's just how it would go.

I've walked through that much mud. Muck really, but it was two feet worth. And I did it as a 10 year old, so not strong. Was it difficult? Yes. Did I struggle? Yes. Did I make it through on my own? Also yes. Did I step on something sharp and cut my foot open while I was barefoot? Another yes! I'm speaking from experience here. It wasn't fun, but I made it.

It's around 430 BC I haven't set fixed date but in player guide listed out what's available and where the cut off is.
Are there wheels, chairs and people who can't walk on their own? If so, someone can think of a wheelchair. This isn't a matter of what year it is. It's simply a matter of someone thinking to put wheels on a chair to push someone around.

It would take far less energy thinking of ways it could work than arguing repeatedly how it can’t. Especially considering I just linked to the real-world history of wheelchairs and they did exist in Greece in the 6th and 5th century BCE. Talk about immersion breaking. So you’re removing real-world tech from a supposedly historical setting…because it would “break your immersion.”

If you're talking about a wheeled chairs you can push around it's fine but it's fairly useless for most of the actual adventures and the terrain.

One of the players has a Barbarian (mountain Greek from Epirus area) and it's a forested gorge. So I basically have to penalize said player or give them a magic version.

Something like that could exist sure see other reply.

Immersion breaking though.

It's up to the players to struggle with their RP choices. You don't have to make it easy for them to push the chair through the forest, but it's likely possible. It would be slow going and sometimes involve large detours around thick areas of wood, but they'll eventually make it through. Especially if there are game trails and hunting paths.

Yeah that's what I'm saying. You could try it (crude wheeled device).

Hephaestus could do it but there's some big reveals around that, the Titans and the forge of Atlantis.

That's why I'm saying in my hypothetical discussion I would have with such a player it could make a great sequel game.

I'm still figuring out the interactions between the Atlanteans, God's and Titans and that's picking up around level 8.

"Immersion breaking" is rather personal and subjective in a fantasy game. In D&D it isn't terribly unusual for an alien clown from another reality to emerge from an underwater cave and start turning people into edible taffy golems.

True but I'm thre DM in that game. Make my life easier ffs.

This campaign was a new player request happy to accommodate the next new player in next campaign as long as everyone's more or less happy.

How I feel when DnD players ban firearms while talking about how rapiers are totally medieval.

Both don't exist in my current fane. Shrugs.

I don't can guns because of tech level but wrong genre. They do get included sometimes just don't count on them.

I've included cartridge based rifles. Good luck finding the cartridges though.
