At nothing, as far as I can tell. The only reason it has staying power is because it's like a ranger, but without the hated TWF and spellcasting. Thus causing people to ignore the fact that Skirmish is pretty stupid conceptually AND mechanically crippling.

Sorry Archivist. As new spellcasting classes go, you were the best, but you are our Ollie North.

You do realize that the pro-psionic lobby is going to target [your favorite class] next, right? Looks like the plan is to gang up on one target at a time all the way down the line, regardless of its merits, in order to nuke every non-psionic class on the list. You're just giving them ammunition with which to destroy [your favorite class]!

It looks like the Archivist is heading out this time (currently ~15 votes ahead of the Psion). So, how about next time those in favor of the Psion not leaving vote for the Beguiler instead? It is in third place at the moment, after all, so it has a good chance of being voted out next time - if it gets some nice help from the Pro-Psion team.

Well, when the Psion and Warlock are gone, so am I. The other classes are either unknown or bad.

Not really. After all, the archivist would have been first to go as soon as the psion disappeared. It was still scoring a lot of votes when us psi-lovers were voting for the knight and the binder.

I'm in the psychic contingent because it think that psion and psywar are better than every other non-core class. If people think that the psion deserves to go more than the archivist, the beguiler, or whatever, then they won't be voting that class off.
