Hear hear. Lose the damn oriental classes. So sick of samurais and ninjas in fantasy games.
Damn right. Everyone knows that samurais and ninjas instantly turn your game into science fiction, what with their high-tech katanas and all.

Voted Shugenja. Not hating on the oriental flavour classes, just feel it's superfluous.

Vaya con dios, Shugenja.

Am I the only one voting for the Scout? Why not just play a ranger or a rogue/ranger?

Most of these classes are pointless and just try to emulate what should be done with flavor, multi-classing or prestige classes - or at least in my view - there are few of these I would allow in my game.

I don't know. We are quickly voting off the alternate divine classes. Personally, I think the Shugenja stands on its own. Change the flavor and name and it would work well in most campaigns, IMO.

Because rangers have icky unecessary divine spells?

So far none of the classes that have been voted off have been anything I'd miss and it doesn't look like that will change this round.

Depends on your take. Personally I'm all for tweaking the flavour and keeping the class if it's worth saving; that's exactly what I do with the Ninja, for example. Make it a stealth-instead-of-stealing focused counterpart to the Spellthief for the base mage/thief combo class. But just from my examination - and I'll admit, I've never seen the class in play, just seen it on paper - it seems very much like the Cloistered Cleric with a bit more emphasis placed on your domain selection.

Plus the sense elements thing, but I'd prefer that saw more development if it's supposed to be a class defining feature.
