We must eliminate PHBII classes other than knight.

I propose we target... Duskblade. Too short a spell list, too many castable spells, and too many gimmes for a full bab class with spells.

I'm afraid you are fighting a losing battle here. The Beguiler and Duskblade are the overall leaders in lowest votes among the 5 rounds (at this point). I'd have to say they are the favorites to make the top 5 or so.

I also agree. The PHB II has the strongest core classes of any Wotc Book with more than 1 or 2 alternate classes. I've read many strong recommendations for all the classes in that book here from people whose opinions I respect. Everyone doesn't like every class (and the Knight and Dragon Shaman have gotten the brunt of the complaints), but there are strong arguments for all of them.

Would you shush. I'm trying to start a trend here.... :D

I don't know. We are quickly voting off the alternate divine classes. Personally, I think the Shugenja stands on its own. Change the flavor and name and it would work well in most campaigns, IMO.
That's what I do. To me, they are Elementalists, they work well, and I like. :( Oh well. . . bye bye Elementalists. . . *sniff*.

Haven't played a Duskblade, but I've played around statting one out. It doesn't suck. Neither does the Favored Soul.

Vote - Totemist.

For the horrendous name alone, this class must be shot in the head: LURK.

On the bad name angle - am I the only person who keeps calling the Favored Soul the 'Flavored Soul' by accident over and over again?

Mmm mm, cajun blackened soul. Deee-lish. :p

Destroy the shadows. Restore the light.

I voted shadowcaster. It's pathetically weak. Up till 7th level or so, it's main combat trick is a 2d4 subdual ray that deals triple damage on a crit. :\ Sucks, not gonna cut it.

Give me some help here!

I actually like the favored soul, as I think it makes a better introductory divine spellcaster than the cleric, in the same way that the sorcerer makes a better introductory arcane spellcaster than the wizard, because it has fewer spells known to juggle.

The choice of which class to vote off is becoming difficult. I'm going for the shugenja this round because its sense elements ability is somewhat open-ended and requires more effort on the part of the DM to adjuducate consistently.
