Northern Crown - Fantasy Adventuring in Europe's Colonization of North America

Just took a look at the flyer on the Atlas site-- Doug, did you do the maps? (When the Septentrionalis site was up, I didn't have access to a fast computer or a color printer, so I wasn't able to get the last one you did)

Were there any major changes to the setting as it was written in Septentrionalis? And do I remember that the rules for "Sea Wolves" were not in this cut?

All the maps and illustrations you see in the flyer were created by me.

No major changes, just a major reorganization and expansion of the material. My rules for sea battles did not make it into the manuscript, but I'd love to release them as an expansion set.

Yea, I'll be buying this like the sucker that I am. :)

This may not be easy to answer, but how much of the setting is rules versus description? I may run something like this, but using HARP rules. So, all the d20 stuff that doesn't apply I'd want to convert.

NC includes all you need to patch the campaign world into d20 rules. New weapons, armor, equipment, core classes, prestige classes, skills, feats, and magic are found in the first volume; encounter tables, monsters, magic items, and treasure tables will be included in the second volume.
That still leaves an enormous amount of room to describe 17 culture backgrounds, a chapter each about native and European culture in general, a big gazetteer with dozens of locations keyed to a map, an overview of the 10 or so biggest political entities, a summary of the European political scene, secret societies, inventions...

Even so, there is a lot of NC material that simply couldn't fit in the book, and will probably show up as web enhancements and PDFs, as one poster suggested.

Doug every time you add a bit more info about the product it just gets better and better.

Can't wait to see the finished books.
