[NOT as OT as it seems, really!] How many of you have armour/swords/etc?

What do you own in the way of mideval stuff?

Technically, nothing medieval, but I do have a Russian sabre, apparently claimed as a war trophy in the Winter War by some distant relative. There's also something I think is a parade sword, the origins of which are a mystery to me.

And I have a nunchaku. I'm trying to practice with it.

I don't actually own much stuff. However, I took up the hobby of making chainmail a little while ago...

I have a few swords: a short sword, a katana, and a ww2 japanese ceremonial sword.

And I have a bunch of ww2 daggers and knives.

Way back when, I was in the Navy and while in Spain I bought a rapier and sabre. I had a replica morningstar but the chain broke so all I have now is a metal ball with blunt points on it.

At our wedding reception friends who owned a game store gave us a large window fan box. He said, "that's not what it is." We opened it up, I reached into the packing and pulled out a battleaxe! It was a nice replica, and there was a crossbow also. The crossbow had a thick rubber string so it didn't have a lot of power. Our gaming friends spent a while shooting the bolt at the box. Our relatives were surprised that the weapons got a better and louder reactions than the big microwave. :) Some of the folks from the reception next door crashed our reception since we were noisier and seemed to be having more fun.

Later on, another friend who worked in a martial arts emporium brought us a chinese executioner's sword replica. He had a small cardboard box over the blade, which was about 3 feet long. He said he was almost hoping someone would try something.

Two daggers, a custom made bow, and the house guard has a rusty straight-bladed sword he keeps in the guard house.

Armour will come :)

A shortsword, a hardwood staff and my old RenFaire garb to go with it. I'm not out there this year due to a long-standing hatred of the management, and I won't be back until that's resolved.

I've got a straight sword and dagger my parents got me, and my brother has a flail. We've also got a stainless steel katana thing that looks like Duncan Macleods. All very horrible wall hangers. I'd very much like to get a traditionally made katana in the future, though. I'm tired of all the 5 pound bars of metal everyone passes as swords.
