Notes on the Aether (Rae judging)

"Tarag, step to your right!" Tommy yells. If Tarag does so, Tommy will cast color spray (save DC 15) to catch the two elementals. If Tarag is still in the way, Tommy will cast ray of frost at Fiery1 instead.

ranged touch attack roll and damage for ray of frost (apply into-melee penalty and cold vulnerability as needed): 1d20+3=16, 1d3=3

By Psergei's searing gaze, you're right. He surely does. I sincerely apologize for my numerous mistakes, folks. That's what I get for trying to move the game along in between classes. There's never time to it right but there's always time to do it over. =P

OOC: hey, any time I get too annoying, just think back to the special moment when Conuld read from the scroll of Expeditious Retreat that turned out to be entirely a figment of his imagination.. :heh:

Tarag steps to his right (OOC: NW, 5' step). As he does so, he says, "Oh no you don't!" Presenting his holy symbol, he calls on the awesome might of Chennet' to cow the creature of flame before him, and render it harmless to himself and his companions.

[sblock=OOC]Turning check. He rebukes fire elementals of his level (1) - a total of 9 HD of them.[/sblock]

His anger fueling his blow, Galwynn cleaves the earth elemental in twain, much like Rapture's blow downstairs. The earthen guardian crumbles into tiny bits of rock and dirt before your eyes.

The fire elemental seems to cave inward on itself as though pressed upon by an invisible sphere. Its flames die down and it becomes more smoke and ash than fire as it cowers before Chennet's might.

Note: If Tarag moves towards the fire elemental, I believe the rebuke ends. Otherwise, it lasts for 10 rounds. For that duration, attacks against the fire elemental receive a +2 bonus. The fire elemental may not attack anybody, it just cowers. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rapture...

Tommy... (I assume you don't want to cast a spell anymore.)

Tommy pauses just before making the gesture that would have released a dazzling burst of magical energy, and waits to see what happens next.

ooc: delay until either combat ends or the elemental is no longer under Tarag's control

"Everyone can calm down; Keldar's here now," says a voice from behind Tommy and near the top of the stairs.

OOC: if the fire elemental by some miracle is still alive when Keldar's turn comes around, he'll help despatch it (+4, 1d8+2)
