Notes on the Aether (Rae judging)

Tarag, dwarven cleric, AC 18, hp 10/10

Aware that Tommy is just behind him, Tarag holds his ground and attacks the earthen creature.

"Tarag, step aside so I can get up there," Rapture says.

OOC: Hold action till Tarag moves, then Rapture will move forward to replace Tarag and attack. +3/1d10+2 (Rae, you can roll if I get the attack) Since I have Init, and it's a 5' move, Tarag should be able to change to add the 5' shift in.

OOC: If it's a 5 foot move, that's fine. I thought it might not be, since Rae told us movement up the stair is doubled. The in-game reason he didn't move was that he didn't want to expose Tommy to attack. The meta-game reason is that I didn't want to attract an AoO.

But Tarag is right at the top of the stairs (the last stair space, in fact), so his 5' step would be onto normal ground. So I think yes, he can take a 5' step west and let Rapture in.

Fine!

Tarag takes a 5' step west and lets Rapture in. Tarag's morningstar bounces ineffectively off the earth elemental's rock hide.

Rapture slides in past Tommy and slashes at the guardian, but her sword clangs (15) loudly, doing no damage.

Tommy draws his wand of magic missiles and shoots a tiny ball of arcane force at the earth elemental. A tiny chunk of dirt flies from the elemental's torso. (2 damage to Earthie1)

Keldar starts going up the stairs, but before he even starts moving, a ball of flame bursts around the wall and stops by Galwynn Tarag. The giant flame attaches itself to the ground and thrusts (10) at the paladin cleric, but Galwynn Tarag easily dodges the attack.

Now Keldar moves up the stairs. And...? And draws a dagger.

The earth elemental, unfazed by the piece missing from its body and its partner's failed attack, hits attempts to hit (17) Galwynn Tarag, but fails. (5 damage to Galwynn Tarag)

Galwynn...

Initiative:
Tarag (5/10 10/10 HP)
Rapture
Tommy
Fiery1
Keldar
Earthie1 (-2 HP)
Galwynn (8/19 13/1919/19 HP)

Note: Earth Mastery (earth elemental ability) says Earthie1 gets +1 damage "if both it and its foe are touching the ground". I assume the 2nd floor of a tower doesn't technically count?

OOC: There's an 'and'? With a single move action, Keldar can reach the empty square that lay between Rapture and Tommy in the map above, no? If he tries to move into a free square any further on, he's going to incur an AoO from the (ominously ennumerated) Earthie1 unless he tries tumbling, and the way I roll, I'm not going to take the risk. So, single move it is, and... bleh... draw a dagger. If everyone could start 5' stepping around the bad guys to clear up room for us to all get out, that'd be nice.

OOC: I would suppose not.

Sorry, I confused Galwynn's and Tarag's locations. Edits are in magenta above.
