[Nov.] What are you playing?

Almost to the end of Radiata Stories for PS2. About 1/3 of the way through Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories on my GBA. Fable: the Lost Chapters is installed on my PC, but I need a new videocard before I can play it. :(

Still on hiatus from WoW but plan on falling off the wagon once the expansion is released. :D

I'm playing Quake 4, having shelved Civ IV until they drop a patch on us - I crash repeatedly to the desktop. Will be picking up Resident Evil 4 for the PS2 over the next couple of weeks...

And probably will be until Heroes of Might & Magic 5 comes out in February.
Ooooh, that's right! Thanks for the reminder; I had kinda lost track of the release date.

Currently, not much of anything. My son is playing a fair amount of Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 or 3 (can't remember which he bought) and I'll sit down with him a fair amount. My daughter keeps trying to get me to help her with stuff on Donkey Kong Kountry 3 for the SNES of all things. I don't know what prompted her to pull that back out.

For myself, I'm mostly picking up my older fighting games for some quick action here and there. King of Fighters '98 seems to be my favorite these days, but a little Street Fighter Alpha 3 is hard to turn down too. But I'm spending a lot more free time reading and writing than I am playing lately.

Just picked up Call of Duty 2 last night and plan to start with it next week. Other than that, I am always playing BF2 when I get the opportunity.

Still finishing off Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance for the PS2 on co-op mode.

Will likely go to Medal of Honor: Rising Sun on Xbox (again, in co-op mode) after finishing BG.

Just finished X-Men Legends 2 "Rise of Apocalypse" which was fun (mostly combat game with RPG elements..levelling, new powers, items etc..).

Also playing UFO: Aftershock, which I would highly recommend to any fanx of X-Com.. though I would say wait until the patch is released as the game does have a few issues that are in the process of being resolved by ALTAR.

Also currently have SW: Republic Commando and Starship Troopers, which are both FPS games sat waiting for a little bit attention.

Interesting or intriguing games have seemingly been a bit light on the ground for the PC recently with most releases either being dull as dishwater sport sims or repetitive formulaic RTS and Beat Em Up games.. Not been any decent RPG's since Neverwinter and the KOTOR's, nor any descent Startegy (non RTS..) games in a long long while...

And I dont know about everyone else..but I miss my turn based games.. far too much fixation on RTS..everything flying by at 500mph no time to enjoy or plan..grrr

For PC:

FEAR - great game... just finished it last weekend. I agree that it had a cool ending. The scary parts didn't scare me as much as in the demo. Weird. That didn't diminish its playability and fun-factor though.

Quake 4 - played it for a bit but stopped in favor of FEAR. When I saw the first opponent do the 'electric slide' (a sideways shuffle move) I immediately lost interest. FPS AI has advanced a lot in recent years and I expected more from this game.

Half-Life 2: The Lost Coast - ok not technically a game but a very impressive technical demo. It has commentary speech bubbles throughout the level. Interesting insights on HDR technology and level/game design throughout. Plus its really pretty.

Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow on the DS. It's a lot of fun, but too much of the castle and the enemies are pulled right from Symphony of the Night. Once its beat, I'll probably go back to Tactics: Ogre.
