I'm unfortunately sober. I think, should my budget allow this month, I'm going to buy some good whiskey and drink it over the weekend.
Right now I'm sitting up with a very naughty boy who, despite repeated readings of
Curious George, won't sleep. Thank god for wireless networking.
Usual back to school stuff going on over at the college. Faculty streaming in with last minute requests, Moodle to set up, and on top of it all a new website to build. So lots of late night work.
Just to add a layer of rage to life, I've been obsessing over GWB and Hurricane Katrina, hence the need for whiskey.
By the way, Scott, I don't know if your blog tracks referring links, but if you are getting some from a Hungarian site, it is Kinga's blog,
http://avajszinuarnyalat.freeblog.hu/ .
I had one of my own an deleted it. If I can find the time, I'll finish writing the code to house one on my own site. I've written blogging code for ACI, but in ASP; my site supports PHP only so I've got to translate it.
Haven't read
Beowulf in years. I once was going to run a one-on-one Viking-themed DnD game for Ken and base a side adventure on Beowulf.
Speaking of gaming, I leafed through my old Polyhedron's. The issue that had the original pulp game is missing and I suspect it is one I lent out to a guy I worked with at the EPA and haven't seen since. I did find the issue that had the D20 Modern version of pulp heroes. If you and Chance would care to play that ruleset, I'll send along a .pdf of the rules.
If you're all still interested in a pulp game, that is.
Kid still isn't asleep.
