Okay, I've been making some creatures/npcs and putting them in the Homebrewn Monster forum. I know for a while I was putting them with brief histories and tactics though I realized I wasn't that great at creating backgrounds on such a massive basis, so when I started another thread [that just got eaten up 
] I didn't put anything down except for stats and sometimes not even a name.
Frequently I didn't even put down equipment because I didn't know what to give them. For NPCs I tend to give them slightly odd or interesting things instead of just going for the min/maxing combat types and I didn't know if that's what others liked or not, so I left them off.
So, I was wondering, whether or not you've seen what I've done or not [or others too], how would you want them detailed? Do you care about descriptions/backgrounds/tactics/magic equipment or would you rather just have basic stats and worry about the rest?
Anything else interesting I should add when putting up creatures? I'd put up pictures of them if I could draw well enough, but alas, I can't, so I won't.
