Obligatory 3k posts post

Meh. It's a dead level. No BAB progression, one lousy save goes up and I don't get any class features.

That extra hit die will be handy playing football with my kids, though.

How disappointing. I guess I should have tried to get into a spell casting class then at least I'd have 2nd level spells to look forward too.

Looks like there's always a thread about xk posts. A 1,000 post thread just died a couple o' days ago and here's a 3k one. Before there 1k was a 500 and before that...well, you get the idea. ;)

Congrats, btw. I'll be there in about 2,400 posts. Oy.

I think it is more of a personal achivement and a sense of camaraderie. I know for myself, that it is nice to be known here because I only have a hanful of friends that I can meet face to face. It is nice to be able to get lost here and spend time with people that share the same interests that I do.

I don't have that feeling quite as much as you do, I guess. Occasionally, I have bantered back and forth a little with someone, but it's not like I've really gotten to know anyone here. I certainly recognize people, but that's partly because I read WAY more than I respond, which I suppose is partly why my posts aren't in the thousands yet. I'd like to think that some people at the least recognize me, but I am not 'in' enough anywhere to have a real sense of camaraderie. Not that I enjoy EnWorld any less, of course. ;)

I'll have you know that you are 'in' with the people who do recognize you. I'm one of 'em.
