This is my d20 Modern Four Color to Fantasy supers game. Recruitment was here and the cast is here. Hope everyone enjoys playing or reading along!

Anaheim, California

The newly established Orange County Eight, founded by the Disney Theme Park Division and the Irvine Corporation to protect Orange County from threats ignored by the LA and San Diego super teams, was getting aquainted with their new base of operations under Disneyland's Space Mountain. It featured all the conveniences of a modern super team headquarters, along with some old audio-animatronic creatures no longer used on park rides for "ambiance."

The team filed in to the communications room at 2 PM, set to have a teleconference Tim Mead, Vice President of Communications - read, head PR man - for Disney's baseball team, the 2002 World Champion Anaheim Angels.

As the OC8 entered the room, the new teammates sized each other up. They weren't all familiar with each other yet, but they would be soon enough, if they were going to do their job.

OOC: And you guys are on! Please give me some phsyical description of your PCs as you enter the room, and any backstory you can reasonably slip in. Once I hear from everyone, the conference will get under way

The doors swished open to admit the briskly striding Dr. Harrison, tan ankle-length leather jacket draped over one arm underneath a large, open textbook that was cradled there. The professor was dressed in rugged brown shoes, well-cut black slacks and a dark red long-sleeved shirt of soft cotton. A pair of chic sunglasses were tucked neatly over the collar, the brown-green eyes that normally hid behind them now unmasked to flick quickly across the pages of the textbook, and then over to the pages of the smaller textbook held open in his other hand.

"Let's see..." he mused as he walked around to the head of the table. "And the final question will be as follows: Three indentical objects of mass M are traveling along parallel paths at point-two, point-seven, and point-95 c respectively. Calculate the velocity of each from the other two reference frames. Part B - are you getting all of this Jeff?"

A young graduate student hustled into the room behind him, hastily scribbling notes onto a pad of paper. "Uh...yes, Professor!"

A distinctive black brow rose under the cap of Harrison's tossled mass of short, dark hair, questioning whether his teaching assistant was actually keeping up. "Well, pretty much it's problem 6F from Pham & Freeburg, just changing the velocities to what I said and including only parts A, B, and C. Good enough?"

He smiled at the assistant's silent nod. "Good. You'd better get along, then. We need those exams printed out by the morning. Tell Professor Zhang I'll try to be in by nine, but you and she should go ahead and start the exam without me if you have to." Dr. Harrison set the books on the table and slid them towards Jeff before sitting down. "Have a good one, Jeff!"

"You too professor!" the young man answered as he collected the textbooks and scurried out of the room. Dr. Harrison glanced around the room, wondering where everyone else was. He'd thought he was running late!

Pushing the doors open, Bruce slowly entered the room. Looking somewhat nervous, he inspected much of the decorations as he walked by.

This entire park feels so ... wrong, he thought with a shudder. All of these plastics and polymers, nothing natural at all. How can people function like this?

Pushing the thoughts down, Bruce shook his head, as if to clear it.

I can't expect them to change their ways because I've changed mine. At least, not yet.

Sporting a pair of brown sandals, tan slacks, and a plain white t-shirt, Bruce seemed unaware of his unprofessional image. His green-on-green eyes and hair seemed even more startling when contrasted with his everyday clothes.

Glancing about the room, Bruce noticed the man who had beat him here. With a start he realized it was Dr. Harrison. Quickly walking forward, he extended a hand toward the reclining Doctor.

"Hi. I guess we're the first here eh? I'm Bruce. You're Dr. Harrison right? I've read some of your papers. Amazing stuff."

Feeling more at ease by the second, Bruce inwardly sighs. Maybe this won't be so bad afterall ...

Pulling up a chair he takes a seat, waiting for the rest of his soon to be partners.

A young man dressed in dark glasses, khaki shorts, an Anaheim Mighty Ducks cutoff jersey and running shoes enters wide-eyed into the room. A deep tan, curly blonde hair, and his 6'2" frame make him look like part of the surfing crowd. He is carrying a somewhat large black leather duffle bag. Removing his glasses reveals his bright amber eyes, and he smiles as he sees Dr. Harrison.

"Doc, you would not believe how many times a guy with a duffle bag gets stopped in this place. First the parking, then the park, then the log ride, then Space Mountain, then down here. Each time I had to have them call to get permission to leave it alone, 'cause I wasn't gonna let then see what was in it." Brandon stops suddenly as he realizes he was rambling.

He spots another person there and closes the distance to shake his hand - then stops, thinking. As he approached, the room got slightly warmer. He smiles and nods to the man instead and says, "Hey, I'm Brandon. Who're you?"

Jonathan walked the hallways, the metallic boots of his suit clanking on the floor. He was in no particular hurry, if he really thought that he could be late, he had the option of running full speed.
The HUD on his visor informed that the suit was working at full power. He could feel how the armor almost blended with him, supporting his muscles and strenghtening them in the same time.

Enclosed in metal. The first few times that he had been testing the suit he had felt mildly claustrophobic. The feeling had however passed and now he only felt secure, protected.

The design team had installed some new hardware just this morning and Jonathan had had no time to learn how to effectively use them. Hopefully he wouldn't be needing the evidence kit just yet.

When he entered the room, he saw that there were others in already. Well, he couldn't always be the fastest, could he. He nodded to the others and then found himself a nice spot next to a wall to lean against.

"Ah yes, Bruce Terring." Dr. Harrison smiled and extended his hand. "Thanks. I wish I had more time to write. And it's good to meet you - I'd love to hear what you have to say about possible exobiological mechanisms for photosynthesis." The professor reached up to scratch his short black beard, frowning thoughtfully. "Well, among other things. There's some very interesting plant proteins I've been looking at lately and -- "

He paused and looked up as the tall, blond haired young man entered. "Oh! Hello, Brandon. Glad to see you finally made it. And you must be Speedy, correct?" he went on, addressing himself to the armored figure who entered behind Brandon. "Please, have a seat gentlemen."

Late...late...late...why was she always late? Anh Nguyen ran down the hallway, huffing and puffing, her hands grabbing the straps of her bookbag. That stupid professor had kept her after class again to give her yet another lecture not falling asleep in class. Well she couldn't help it! The man could cure insomnia.

Her long black ponytail trailed behind her as she hurried along, dressed in faded jeans, running shoes, and a simple dark red wrap top. Dark brown eyes with an exotic tinge to them, a pert nose and a smiling mouth, Anh was any normal college freshman desparate to make a good first impression and knowing helplessly that she was bound to fail.

Half out of breath, she burst into the room and skidded to a halt in surprise. Well, this wasn't what she had expected signing up...last minute as her sign up was. Was that...the Professor Harrison? oh god that was him.

Her skin turned bright red as she shuffled her feet nervously unable to make a word come out of her mouth.

"Miss Nguyen!" Dr. Harrison smiled and waved her over. "It is you! I wondered who the mysterious new Lady Dragon might be. Come and meet everyone." Then he made a mock-serious look and waved a finger at her jokingly. "I still expect to see you at the exam on time though, even if you are a superheroine."

"I...uh...um...," come on, Anh! You're not shy like this...but he's so cute! And so smart, and the way his eyes... The young woman clutched her backpack to her chest, trying to will her feet to move forward. Move feet move! You're blocking the door! Her eyes melted. but he remembered your name!

Somehow she made it over to where the others were although she still hadn't managed to actually get a sentance out of her mouth yet or the color out of her cheeks.

Extending his hand at the stranger's approach, Bruce suddenly jerks it back as he feels the room's temperature begin to increase.

Settling for a small wave, and a weak grin, he slowly eyes the man in front of him.

"I'm Bruce. But ... uh ... don't sit by me eh? I'm not one for much heat. Nice to meet you though. S-"

Stopping suddenly as the man addressed as Speedy entered into the room.

How can ANYONE stand to be encased in so much ... so much metal!

He had barely opened his mouth when Anh hustled in. Watching the interplay with Anh and Dr. Harrison, Bruce hastily closed his mouth and watched it with interest.

Glancing at Brandon again, he gestured to a chair one seat away.

"Have any idea of who else is coming?"
