I am getting ready to run Dreamscapes Laruna for a group of friends, it will be our first time playing the game. I am looking for advice.
First, whether I should pre-gen the characters and let them pick the one they want to play(this makes sure the characters will work well together), or let them create their own characters with minor restrictions on character types to try and keep the group cohesive?
Second, if I go with letting them create their own characters, what should I lookout for to keep it a workable group?
I want to make sure that we don't shoot ourselves in the foot when trying out the game for the first time due to character compatibility issues, experienced that when trying out a new system in the passed, want to make sure we give it is enjoyable for all my players.
We are an experienced group of gamers but we mostly play ShadowRun, White Wolf/Onyx Path Publishing, D&D all except 4th edition, Fantasy Flight games, and Mongoose Traveler.
This will be my first time running any ODAM products. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.
