My DM drinks light beer, and he's always trying to kill us... just what are the breweries doing, creating sociopaths out of their customers???

My DM is strictly a Guiness guy, so his saying, "They're drinking light beer" was really a sneaky (or, not-so-sneaky) way of telling us, "They're evil".

I heard this song in college but never bothered to find out if it was a real drinking song- I use it for dwarves in my campaign as well :

Ein, Zwei, Dri, Trinke!
(slight pause)
(repeat)

and of course the gold song :
Gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold, gold...
(repeat)

In Germany (and at various German Biergartens in Indiana) the chant is "Ein, Zwei, Tsuffa!"

"Tsuffa" doesn't actually mean anything, but it's fun to yell before chugging down that German lager.

While I make war against passing out?
"Kriegen" means to "get" or "sieze", so the phrase means literally
"Is the beer supposed to lie in the cellar, and unconsciousness get me here?"
or "Is the beer supposed to lie in the cellar, while unconsciousness gets me here?" if you want to be more idiomatic. (I.e., "How am I going to pass out here if the beer's sitting down there in the cellar?")
I'd tend to say "Beer over here!" for "Bier her!" too.
