I've got some of the creatures put together, and others in the works. should I give each monster its own thread, or should I create a "Monsters of Chult" thread? Suggestions are welcome, as are any more votes.

Krishnath, do not question my Lovecraft knowledge. Other than the whole HIVE thing, that sig. bit is a direct quote from The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath. I do my research.

Ah, but lovecraft contradicts himself in The Dream-Quest of Unknown Kadath as he in all of his other stories involving Azathoth and Nyanarlothep the former is always referred to as an elder god... On the other hand, he also contradicts himself over Dagon on several counts... So that's not really a surprise is it.

Lets see...jungle/Aztec creatures... (and if some of these are in MM2, my apologies)

Giant Leech
Axebeak
Giant poisonous frog
Piranha
Thunderbird
Wendigo
Giant Macaw (Kinich Kakmo is the sun god, symbolized by the macaw)
Kisin (aztec earthquake spirit, maybe an incorporeal earth elemental would work)
Papalotl (after Itzpapalotl, a giant carniverous moth or butterfly)
Chupacabra - vampiric jaguars, as near as I can determine

That's what I got so far...

Ah, the infamous Goat Sucker! Chupacabra are not from inkan/aztek/mayan legends, it is quite a new phenomenon actually. Sort of an urban legend...

But I like the other ideas, I might even make a Wendigo template... (Hmm... Avatar of Nature or Mutant Cannibal? Next on Out There! )

Alright, most of the poll creatures have been done (go to the Homebrew and see, I beseech you!). So, now what? Does anyone have any suggestions for jungle-themed creatures?

hmm... how about some new player races? Something with an ECL between +0 and +2 should do the trick.

And if that is not to your liking, how about some different kinds of birds? (magical that is.)

Other ideas to consider are giant vermin, different types of carnivorous plants, and the odd aberration, fey, or outsider.
