Old school FR book question

Hello

I'm running a FR campaign and I'm looking for info on Westgate. I have Lords of Darkness (3rd ed.), 3rd ed. campaign setting, Cloak and dager (2nd. ed.) and FR adventures (2nd ed.). In the FR adventures book it sez that there was more information in a book called FR0. What's FR0?

I believe FR0 is also known as 'The Old Grey Box' Set. In other words, the first FR Campaign boxed set.

Was that the 1e FR campaign setting box set? The FRX were generally setting supplements on specific areas like Waterdeep, those celtic islands, etc.

Yep! That is the 1st Edition Forgotten Realms Campaign set or what I referred to above as 'The Old Grey Box' set which I think is also referred to as FR0.

I also suggest for extra fun to do a Google search on "Forgotten Realms" + Westgate. There are apparently several FR campaigns out there with lots of extra info built up, which, while it may not be official, can give you LOTS of extra material for your campaign.

FR0 is indeed the original 1e Campaign Box set (also called the Old Grey Box).

Just as an aside, though - I wouldn't waste your time. While the box does supplement (a bit) the info in the FRA hardcover, if you have the 2e Cloak & Dagger book, you're set.

2e Cloak & Dagger (plus the web enhancement that Eric pointed out) pretty much has all the consolidated info on Westgate available.
