Once Upon A Time in the Weird West

Jianna, human female.

Realising that they are not going to be able to get out the door, Jianna shifts her weight to meet the shambling woman. As Jianna avoids the attack, her Swingblade flickers out. And back to be gathered up in a two handed grip and swung down in a slashing arc.

ooc: Assuming she can, allocate her Dodge and take the AoO (Agile Riposte). Follow up with a regular strike. * longsword +1 melee (1d8, 19x2, Slashing)

Jianna's strike pierces the woman's shoulder, merely nicking it. It shows no signs of feeling any pain, however, and continues to stare at Jianna with lifeless eyes. Taking advantage of her hesitance, she claws at Jianna, digging her nails into Jianna's arm.

Jianna takes 2 points damage.

Round 3

Initiative: Priest, Jianna, Dead woman

Woman can be flanked now

The Priest sees the zombie claw at the girl and redoubles his attack.

Full attack with two weapons. The Priest will move around the zombie, but if he cannot move in position to flank and still full attack, he'll just move as far as he can and full attack.

Jianna, human female.

Jianna snarls, angered (she is surprised to find) by the undead woman's stubborness. Jianna will attack again if the Priest's attack is not sufficient to drop shambling thing.

Once the woman is dispatched, Jianna will scan the store again to check that no more of the "family" have arrived to join the party.

ooc: * longsword +1 melee (1d8, 19x2, Slashing). Allocate Dodge to woman, Agile Reposte if the opportunity arises.

Priest's blow strikes through the chest of the woman. She titters a bit, saliva dripping down her mouth before falling off the sword lifeless.

End of combat

Jianna scans thestore and finds no other 'family' members. Outside the shop, Hammer neighs. Priest scans the street and sees about five to six more of the creatures approaching the provision shop. One of them appears to be approaching Jianna's steed. The bells of the church are also abruptly ringing, and the swarm of flies appears to be getting thicker.

Priest:
You spot a similar wound on the woman to that of the man. Closer inspection reveals that it was probably made with a heavy, pointed weapon, possibly a pickaxe.

The Priest examines the bodies, wondering how the pair became undead. Then, alerted by Hammer's neighing, the Priest bolts outside to see the approaching zombies. It would be safer to defend themselves in the doorway, but the horses were in danger, and they might need the horses to escape.

"We got company," he says to the girl as he dashes out into the street.

The priests moves to Hammer, attempting to quick-mount. If he has an action left, he'll move between the approaching zombies and Jianna's horse, so she can get to it safely.

Priest does a quick examination of the bodies and briefly mulls over the large wound in their chest areas in both victims. Flies continue to flit around the corpses, even though they are dead, and the smell of the two you have just fought starts to get the better of the two.

Priest dashes out into the street and jumps onto Hammer. Jianna's horse is 20' away to the left, and the zombie approaching it is just 15' away.
There are two zombies behind him about 40' away, and another three emerging down the street 80' away.

Sorry haven't had time to make a map. We'll just wing it. ;)

Priest:
There seems to be something unnatural about the wound on the two victims. From a cursory glance, many of the zombies now approaching you have the same sort of wound on their bodies.

Jianna, Human female

Jianna breathes a sigh of relief when she finds the place is secure. She pulls a length of something off a shelf and wipes her sword clean before sheathing it.

"You're quite handy with that sword."

She glances out the window at the Priest's mention of company. Godspit. The horse. She dashes after the Priest, heading for her horse.

ooc: If she can make it to the horse and away before the 'zombies' get there, just run, mount and leave. If not, move a bit closer, pull the Dragoon and use it to clear away the nearest zombies. * pistol +2 range (2d6, 20, 40 ft., S, 6 cyl.)

If I understand the situation correctly...

The Priest's jaw sets in a frightful sneer as he assesses the situation. Something was wrong here, even more wrong then normal when dealing with zombies, but he didn't have the time to figure it out now. Spurring Hammer, he moves between the girl's horse and the approaching zombie, slashing at it with his sword and urging his steed to attack.

Priest: +9 melee (1d8+10/19-20, Longsword) - Attack +1 from mount.
If the Priest succeeds on a DC 10 ride check (Ride +8), Hammer attacks also
Hammer: +7 (1d6+4, hoof)

Jianna, human female

Seeing the Priest move to cut off the zombie decides it for Jianna. She bolts for her horse and scrambles up into the saddle.

Wheeling the animal around, she pulls up about 50-60 feet from the nearest zombie (outside charge range hoipefully) and pulls out the Dragoon. She picks a zombie well clear of the Priest (slapping him is one thing, shooting him another), lines up and shoots. The heavy pistol bucks in her hand with a resounding boom.

ooc: trying to keep out of melee range and provide fire support.
* pistol +2 range (2d6, 20, 40 ft., S, 6 cyl.)
