One Hour

First Post
First let me give big thanks to dougbot for sharing his lunch time concepts
and sparking this idea.

One Hour works is an exercise that I will be practicing for the next 30 days.
Focusing on what all I can create given just one hour of free time a day, this
exercise will hopefully kick my ass as an illustrator.

Very nice, there's a beautiful fluidity to the line work and a softness in the color that's pretty rare for photoshop work. Looking ofrward to seeing more.

Ya...what he said. I agree.

Is there a site, or book, that can describe some of the techniques used in photoshop to generate such beautiful colours?

I teach several illustration workshops and teach various techniques through online tutorials. I'll be opening a full line of tutorials on my site internalist.net in the next couple of weeks.

That's pretty kewl, and a great way to learn i think. Normally my problem is that i have an idea and fiddle with it untill it's 'perfect' (or as good as it's going to get ;-), the time limit is a great way to kindle some creativity and eventually should improve technique and rendering speed (not to mention confidence).

Thanks Doughbot and Internalist (the Infernalist), a great idea and one i'm going to be using (eventually). I first need to create some drawing space, the big ase CRT that's hogging all my desk space is getting replaced tomorrow (woot!).

Quick question...

Does Manariniikakai and Suramoira mean anything, or are they names? Is there supposed to be a space somewhere in Manariniikakai? It looks like the sort of thing that SHOULD have a space somewhere in there, but of course, Katakana doesn't believe in such things.
