That said, if 5E wants to win the edition war it has to be the edition that all the hot geeky girls play. In fact, they should playtest exclusively with hot geeky girls to make absolutely sure that this is the only edition they ever want to play. All this retro-appeal is just going to attract fatbeards.

(If you doubt the wisdom of this, think hard why google+ never had a chance against facebook).

They should harness the power of those DND porn stars...

This is a good point. If the game appeals to women, then it doesn't matter if guys actually like it or not. They will play it.

So are we expecting LARPing rules in the core books?

How do you make the game more appealing to women? And if you do, how do you make it attract hot women rather than female fatbeards?

I thought that was pretty lame to mildly amusing, but then the goblin did the caterpillar and I realized it was awesome.

The elephant in the room is that there are no "hot geeky girls" - that's just a fantasy of not-hot nerdy guys.

no no, there are lots of hot nerdy girls (I live in Seattle, so nerd mecca ftw)...there are just no single hot nerdy girls.

Though I'm finding surprising luck with Library Science majors. Just saying.
