(ONE SLOT LEFT! Friday 3-7)--Iron Heroes: Twilight of Ulster

I'd like a spot in this. I've run Iron Heroes for a bit, but haven't had a chance to actually play.

Finally figured out where the event schedule is, and realized there are some seminars I wanted to attend at the same time. It sounds like fun, but I'm going have to pass.

Okay, this is me officially dropping out. Sorry. :( Hope you find enough players, RA!
Darn--I can't run it with only three players. Maybe there will be a last minute addition like there was for my other game. Ah well, that's what I get for not staking a spot earlier in the process and trying to find one later on that fit enough players, I guess.

Rystil,

if those two slots are open, I and another gamer would like in:

Henry
Oncarou na Gabriel

is that OK? I've always wanted to try Iron heroes, and I'm vaguely familiar with the system from following threads about it.

Absolutely--heck, Seonaid ditched, so there's three open slots if you know someone else who wants to play, and you probably saved the game. The game goes on!

I'm so torn. I signed up for a GURPS Trav game at the same time. I really want to play IH again, but I also really want to play GURPS 4e, too.

Argh!

Go with the one that you know is the right choice in your gut (Iron Heroes of course!)

FOR EVERYONE--

On a more serious note, can I have character preferences. I'd like to sort who plays who out ASAP, and this goes double for anyone who has never played before because I'd like to explain the basics of your characters to you before Gencon. If this happens, we may have enough time to, like actually finish the adventure. If so, it will be the first time yet (since I've thus far always had last-minute ditchers replaced by people who needed a long explanation of their character). But you guys are obviously the best group yet, so I know we can do it. For those of you who joined in later on, check out Post #5 for exciting character briefs from which to choose--All but one are actual obscure/semi-obscure Celtic heroes!

I'm not really worried which character I play ... I'm happy to take whatever is left at the end.
You have Iron Heroes in your sig a gajillion times, so I'll assume you're a solid pro. Therefore, I suggest Cormac if the character concept suits you. Cormac has token pools like crazy and is far-and-away the most complicated to play. And bring your Battle Box if you have it to keep track of them all!

So far in running this game, the main indicators of how well the group did seemed to be

1) The intelligence, strategy, and game savvy possessed by the player of Cormac
2) The fast-talking improvising abilities of the player of Briccriu
3) Whether or not someone takes the girls--the group that took Aoife had it much easier. Neither group took Brigid, but in my playtest, having her ranged attacks was quite useful.
