Online RPGS?

Has anyone ever played online RPGs with one of the virtual rpg apps out there (WebRPG, Openrpg, etc.)?

I'm interested in trying to get started playing in one of these environments, but I'm not entirely sure how to go about it, or what kind of experience I might have.

I've used OpenRPG exactly once, for an RPGA online slot 0 the week before GenCon. Downloaded all the parts, installed, up and running in about two hours with enough understanding to play the game. We then spent 8 hours playing it (until 3:00 a.m.!).

Positives: It's a solid system, allows GM mapping, has tokens to represent characters, and some decent scripts to automate a lot of things. Lag was little to none, even on my slow dial-up connection.

Negative: It takes a lot to learn the intricacies of this program. Some things are just not implemented in a very intuitive manor. Take some time to try out the example forms that come with it, look around the site for downloads and add-ons, and you'll be fine.
