Yeah all I got was a miserly King - both Sweden and Norway. btw - its that a historic point I'm not aware of (ie they were one country) or just something the game does to make those countries viable contenders?

Sweden and Norway were united under the swedish king from 1814 to 1905.
Since the game takes place in the 19th century, your borders are accurate. The Ukraine otoh, was a part of the Russian empire at that time, (and in the game is still fighting a civil war with the Muscovites for the future of the Russian Nation). So was Finland and most of Poland too. The borders of Germany, Austria-Hungary and Romania are just plain wrong and greater Jugoslavia and Belgium are entirely made up. The Capital of Sweden-Norway should be Stockholm. The capital of Turkey-Greece should be Istanbul (if the game takes place before 1821, when Greece liberated itself from Turkey, which it dosen't). And Turkey should have a much bigger slice of the Balcans (depending on what year it is in the game).

Though France, Spain, and Britian are accurately mapped it seems. The game seems to have a bit of depth to it. There is a bit of a balancing act between commerce and warfare.

True, it seems quite difficult to conquer land. I've suffered twize as many casualties as I've inflicted and Tongues has lost more than five times as many men as he's killed in Finland.

Btw, Spain is wrong too. Portugal was independent and Spain had some minor territories in North Africa.

For my borders, I don`t think they are accurate. I am suppose to be a French colonie, but he!

Could be wrong but I think that white star is active players = the rest of the nations are AI

White star can't be players...because the Ukraine doesn't...or didn't last time I check...have one.
