I have the first ic post sort of written. Its fairly generic as I doN't have much to go on.

After having worked through building a character, I think that I will focus on running a series of short adventures with leveling between each one, rather than an extended campaign. This should allow us to work through the levels more quickly. As this is a playtest, I think that it make more sense to go this way. It will, however, involve some sacrifice of organic character development.

Attitude towards God: Doesn't necessary completely believe in God, as he feels that his own technologically reinforced skills are more reliable than divine magic and such. Prefers the idea of a God to the idea of no God, however.
Attitude towards the Church: Ambivalent. Feels it does no more good or evil than anything else. A casual (high holiday/feast day) attendee of services.
Attitude towards Father ???: Generally likes him. Feels there's a practical side of his faith that makes it more appealing than strictly dogmatic versions of same. Appreciates emphasis on community and restraint. Slightly concerned, however, about potential misapplications of lessons by parishoners or deviations from previous teaching by Father ???.

Appearance: Slightly pale and healthy/athletic in a casual way. He takes care of himself, but is far from a professional athlete or soldier.
Personality: Friendly, slightly pedantic, and slightly unsure about his ability to execute the techniques that he's learned in his training.
Backstory: Very young, Ceamus Mallory came to Gallow-on-Tep immediately after finishing his schooling. Set up near Father ???'s church, he ministers to the communities ailments faithfully. Slightly wary of the Guardians, he appreciates their work in reducing casualties during the riots.

Thanks Silvermane. I was tempted by Corywn, but wanted a harder sound, so went with Kirkham.

Attitude towards God: Absolute belief in the existence of God. Ariel regards God as an entirely beneficent figure.
Attitude towards the Church: Ariel does her best to live up to the teachings of the Church. She would willingly give her life in defence of her faith, and feels at home as a member of the Church Militant.
Attitude towards Father Kirkham: Ariel's attitudes towards Farther Kirkham are a little divided. She respects his devotion to the Church and his abilities to keep the peace, but feels that his pragmatic attitude towards some aspects of Church dogma can lead him into somewhat shakey ground. But she's confident that he does far more good than harm, and throughly supports his possition in Gallow-on-Tep.

Hair Red-brown, worn long (mid-back length).

Appearance: Trim and athletic, Ariel is kept in good shape by both an active life and regular drills. She's pretty, but not a great beauty, most of her presence coming from her commanding manner. While this serves her well when on the training ground or field of combat, it can on occasion rub people up the wrong way.
Personality: Serious and focused on her duties and responsibilities to the Church, Ariel can come across as distant and a little aloof. This isn't an accurate impression, as Ariel does in truth have her fellow man's best interest at heart, but is very much the soldier when she feels she is on duty. When relaxed, she's pleasant company and has a slightly sharp sense of humour.
Backstory: Raised in Gallow-on-Tep, Ariel has yet to travel much distance from her home town. She's the middle of three children, having both an older and younger brother. Her father is a blacksmith and her mother is a herbalist. The work of both her parents brought the family into regular contact with the priesthood, and Ariel became fascinated with the Church and its workings. Her skill with a gun and knowledge of the faith lead her to the Church Militant, where she remains today, doing her best to protect the Church from whatever dangers may threaten it.
