I had posted before the NPC so I was waiting for other PCs to react before Zeth spoke futher.
As the party looks for a zombie arm (there are pleeeenty), Logrim quickly realizes something. When Logrim gets within about 15 feet of the upper "false weep" holes, they begin to glow a white so cool it's almost bluish. Then stepping back to test it again, this time Ludo curiously pads just ahead of Logrim by a few feet – but once again the holes begin to glow only once Logrim is within 15 feet. It's almost as if Ludo wasn't starting to trigger the trap at all!
Examining the ground, there's no telltale signs of scraping or depressions that would be associated with pressure plates or trick flagstones.
In the moment of quiet the party gives Logrim to test and examine the trap, once against the party can hear a deep throaty croaking sound from the south and echoes of something scrambling on stone.
Oh, gosh, I'm sorry, I completely forgot. Let me rewrite that!@Quickleaf It's been a little but Ludo was destroyed in the last encounter. So we have no construct to deduce the above quote.
@VLAD the Destroyer Ok, revised my response to make more sense. Sorry, had a lot going on (commencement for grad school) and it had been a while so memory was foggy.
Hah, no, not a doctor, just a Masters of Architecture. I think it means our dungeons are safer.@Quickleaf are you a Dr. DM now?
Or not. An architect will know to make deadfall traps that will stand the test of timeHah, no, not a doctor, just a Masters of Architecture. I think it means our dungeons are safer.
A number of skills could apply... depending on what you're wanting to know...What Knowledge skill would identify the crystal frog?
