Nah; this is Elan's family. It's more classically dramatic to have them become arch-enemies, with Elan constantly torn over his loyalties and his desire to see his father redeemed.

That could happen, but Nale also stabbed Tarquin in the back as well. Possibly if Tarquin learns of their mission he might even be willing to support them, who knows? I do get the impression that he is not a friend or ally of that jerk Draketooth.

In any case, Haley doesn't really trust him. That's obvious. I wouldn't be surprised if Roy will be distrustful of him as well. I'm waiting to see what's going to happen when the group gets back together.

Heck, I'm about 75% convinced that Tarquin's either the guy holding Haley's father prisoner, or was at least somehow involved in his capture.

Now THAT is an interesting tension. Absolutely pregnant with dramatic possibilities, and I'll bet Tarquin would appreciate it.

I wonder if Tarquin is LE simply because he enjoys beying the bad guy. Gives him more opportunity to ham it up and chew the scenery.
