Right, Roy threw her out the window so that Rich could use her again later. I'd be really surprised if she died.

Of course she won't die. Falling doesn't kill anyone in D&D. It's a well-known fact. And OotS is all about the quirks of D&D.

Oh, and teleporting takes a standard action, she wasn't thrown out on her turn, so she can't teleport. That's the D&D rules.

I missed the "thunk" at the end of the strip; I thought they were much higher up than they apparently were.

Still, at so low a height, her DR will eat most of the falling damage, so I question the wisdom of pushing her rather than using his sword (metal or otherwise ;)) on her while her guard is down.

I could be mistaken... but (IIRC) DR does not apply to falling damage.

Not sure why, but that got some LoL...

Hm... what about a dwarf giant. A giant-kin runt. Do you call them human?

Yeah, but you have to wonder how much damage she took from combat with Roy beforehand. Judging by all the little "red marks" all over them, she has to be hurting.

I just skimmed through the DR section of the SRD and I didn't see anything about ignoring falling damage. A succubus has a DR of 10 and an erinyes have a DR of 5. Falling 20' could still potentially do 2 points of damage to a succubus and 7 points of damage to an erinyes. If she was seriously low on hit points before she was thrown through the window [glass damage?], she could possibly die.

Plus, we don’t get to see what happens right before she flies out the window. Roy could have fatally stabbed her or struck her unconscious [negative hit points] and than threw her out the window. There are all kinds of possibilities.

But alas, I will fall back on my earlier argument. I think Rich has future plans for Sabine.

It doesn't need to.

It tells you what DR applies to:
The numerical part of a creature’s damage reduction is the amount of hit points the creature ignores from normal attacks.

and

A creature with this special quality ignores damage from most weapons and natural attacks.

Hitting the ground from a height is not an attack. It's not one of the things that DR applies to.

Okay, that makes much more sense. So, theoretically, she could take more damage from falling and stands more of a chance of dying if her hit points are low.
