If there's a scene with Roy and/or Miko in the afterlife, I'm pretty sure I'll barf.
Ahh, come on it would be great. A great way to make fun d&d death first of all and second of all. Plus, I liked Miko. She was such a strong character, the type that motivates characters to move the story of thier own volition and the type that show that not all good people do all good actions( like redcloak with not all evil people do all evil actions). She was a good character who has run her course aside from humorous mention and maybe a cameo or two.

Nale is comic relief, Xykon is the villain but you do not know exactly what to make of Miko or redcloak. They are, as a result my favorite characters. Plus, she did not do anything wrong. She committed one evil act but in her mind it was a good one. She had convictions and a duty and had every reason to believe the team was evil. She does not have the benefit of knowing all we know. Dramatic Irony at its best. Overall, I am happy with how it turned out.

I liked Roy up until a strip was dedicated to him telling off Miko. After that, he just became an ugly character and I didn't care when he died. Rich has managed to ruin every character except Durkon for me with his writing, and I suspect that's only because Durkon gets so little screen time.
So why are you still reading the strip?

I can't imagine OotS without Roy. He's the not only the glue that holds the team together, he's one of the main anchors for the plot.
In a talk, Rich stated that the central theme of OotS is really the story of Roy, and how he changes and matures as a person and a leader.

IIRC, one of the requirements for someone to end the LG heaven is to seek forgiveness; she never did.

Remember her constant praying while she was in prison? What do you reckon she was praying for, if it wasn't forgiveness and atonement?

BTW, this was the best OotS yet, IMHO. Great story telling and a perfect ending to the Miko story arc. I don't believe Rich will ruin it by reintrodusing Miko in any way; not even with an appearance in the afterlife.

I don't see him as maturing right now -- more like ripening. :)

I've never heard that but I'm not an expert on the good planes. Any sources saying such?

The wisdom to understand why they were treating her as they were, when she plainly did nothing worthy of punishment?
