I assumed they were moving to head off another group of hobgoblins, as opposed to trying to catch up with the others.

Wow.. Getting a name really boosts the HP score and Fort saves vs Dying, don't it? Considering Daigo was stabbed clear through, and is now walking normally. Maybe he and Kazumi just got a free Extra Level of Warrior from the DM or something.


...Still, they're both lucky OotS isn't written by Joss Whedon. Names would not have saved either one of them then.

"Free" isn't necessary, they could have gotten combat XP from the hobgoblins and RP XP from the talking.
