So, Roy has a "Called Shot" feat, apparently. Cause even if he crit on both of his only improvised weapon attacks, they wouldn't have been nearly that devastating, especially to a raging and possibly frenzying barb. I want to see Roy win by smarts, not deus ex machina. At least the running around part is smart, even if his reasoning isn't to do it to win the fight.

I'd say so. Thog can likely catch him, but would have to charge to get any attacks in, if Roy is full moving.

Thog being faster doesn't matter. If Roy Withdraws every round, the best Thog can do is charge for one attack per turn.

There is no other viable tactic against a frenzied beserker though. You get out of his range till he calms down, or you use calm emotions on him. This is probably the strongest melee damage dealing built in 3.5 barring To9S. It's cheese so you need cheesy tactics. With no armor and shield to go full defense till you weather it out, no spear to set against charges, Roy must run.

Is anyone else put in mind of a certain other gladiatorial encounter?
