That mask really should be all the information the Order need if they're on the ball, especially Elan. After all, who else do they know who's that awesomely genre-savvy?
Roy's Intelligence (and Wisdom?) score must be higher than everyone else's, except maybe Vaarsuvius. He remembers things. He notices things. He figures things out.
Although they might take a little longer to figure out who it may be specifically, they can confirm it's not Thog since they can see skin around the eyes on Tarquin.
Love that Tarquin had NOPE embroidered on the mask for just this situation.
Elan will probably figure it out long after it becomes relevant to the plot.

That was established way back, in Comic 31 (Giant In the Playground Games). A Mind Flayer found V and Roy to be the most appealing (and actually prefrred Roy, to V's chagrin).
While he might not have the 18+ INT of V, he does have a Master's Degree and is clearly a high-INT fighter (how many fighters have you heard of buying cross-class ranks in Knowledge: Architecture and Engineering), he probably also has higher WIS and CHA. The Deva that was reviewing him for admission to heaven noted he had above-average WIS and CHA and could have been a good Paladin if he wanted to. V probably has an average, or more likely below-average score in both of those given his lack of "people skills", bad decisions and emotional problems.
V and Roy are pretty much polar opposites stat-wise. Roy is balanced, decent at everything, whereas V seems to have managed to dump all 5 of his other ability scores in favour of Int.
