Opportunity Actions vs Opportunity attacks

Scon

First Post
I'm building a Battlemind/Fighter Hybrid, trying to be very good with opportunity attacks. (Curse the new change to melee training)

I have taken the combat superiority class feature, to add my wisdom modifier to opportunity attacks. I'm also taking Steel Unitity strike which as an opportunity action allows you to do 2W+Con whenever an adjacent enemy marked by you moves without shifting.

As this is an opportunity action but also an attack would I be able to use combat superiority to increase my chance to hit, do people think?

Thanks (and hi by the way)

An Opportunity Attack is an Opportunity Action, but Opportunity Actions are not Opportunity Attacks. Opportunity Attack is a subset of Opportunity Action in the same way that Imediate Interrupt and Immediate Reaction are subsets of Immediate Action.

So to answer your question, no. You would not get the hit bonus from Combat Superiority with an Opportunity Action that makes an attack. Opportunity Action and Opportunity Attack are separate actions that share a resource mechanic.
