Sadly, I laughed more at the older strip linked by MichaelSomething than I have laughed at any of the recent strips.

Rich, bring us teh funnay!

The story's been much more important than the humour for quite some time now. (Not that the latter is gone; I certainly got a good groan out of the "graveyard shift" pun).

The real problem is that the story gets hard to follow when it's so often something like ten days between installments.

Could I have some assistance in spotting the funny?

Pretty please. :D

/M

Well, the main guy said that the prison would be guarded by a skeleton crew. So in the picture, you see the other lady loaded up with a hammer, morningstar, and presumably a bunch of holy water vials. That's because Skeletons are a DnD monster that take reduced damage from non-bludgeoning weapons and hammers. Skeletons are also undead, so they take damage from holy water. See, she thought that skeleton crew meant a crew of skeleton monsters, not a reduced force.
