OSRIC could have a indirect negative impact on WotC by reducing demand for Kenzer's products (& therefore WotC's slice of the Hackmaster pie). (Which, of course, is only saying that that would be a motivation for WotC to want to act against OSRIC, not that they would have legal grounds to.)
I suspect that OSRIC has a better chance to improve Hackmaster sales than to harm them. Hackmaster fans can easily make use of OSRIC-based products & OSRIC fans can make easy use of Hackmaster products.
