You've probably already packed up your box but I've gotta agree with Tonguez about the whole "communal shower" issue. The guys in my dorm were complete slobs (I guess most single guys are) and the bathroom floor was disgusting.
I would strongly suggest that you either include or tell your brother to buy a pair of "flip-flops" or whatever you call them. When I was a kid we used to call them "thongs" but that word has a whole different meaning now. Just a real cheap pair of rubber/plastic sandals that he can wear in the shower or can put on quickly if he needs to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night and doesn't want to put his shoes on.
