Seriously?
No of course not. :D Crothian's just pulling your leg. However, it's so drastically out of print that it's virtually impossible to find. No wait, make that completely impossible to find.

Hmm, did I say that Crothian was pulling your leg, or I was? :p

Seriously, it's true. I Imagine if you do a goggle search you will find clarification.

I've got a 1973 version of the Princess Bride and it's very well done.

Pain in the ass.

Anyway, how embarrassed should I be for not figuring it out on my own?

Sorry, I was in a capricious mood when I wrote that reply. :D

Don't be too embarassed. It's never actually said that it's a hoax.

It's ok I would likely have done the same thing. It did get me to do a search as Crothian suggested and apparently the anniversary edition has a chapter from the (alleged) sequel (if the site can be believed). So I'll have to look for that version when ever I get around to buying my copy.

I figured it out after a few hours in a library. It's amazing how wasting an afternoon away can really clear one's head. I wonder how Mr Goldman feels about all the poor soulds he's fooled.
