Monty P, Buckaroo Banzai, Big Trouble in Little China, the Evil Dead series, The Simpsons, Harry Dresden, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, Animal House, etc., etc.

I mean, why bother to do this if we can't have fun

Much like Wombat's group, we quote just about everything that's quotable. Warcraft III pissed unit quotes are very popular right now, and since we're about to start a Warcraft d20 campaign, I can only imagine what the games will become.

Hmmm a few off the top of my head....

The "Star Wars Auditions" sketch from when Kevin Spacey hosted SNL. The main one to quote is Christopher Walken as Han Solo. We referenced it so much that we now refer to it only by "She's fast enough for you...old man." with various modifications based on situation.

Also the line from LOTR: FOTR "You will taste man flesh!"... our DM is named Dan and...well you can figure it out.

And of course all the standard ones, like Aliens, Simpsons and the Evil Dead series (mainly Army of Darkness). Oh that, and Kevin Smith movies too.

Monty Python (Holy Grail and Meaning of Life) and Simpsons are classic.

Futurama and Family Guy (because everyone bought the DVD sets) are up there too.

Other than that... we don't quote that much I guess, but almost any in-game situation reminds someone of a similar (or not even so) situation in the animated series presented herein.

Our goto reference has always been MST3K. A lot of stuff from The Movie, but we throw in episode quotes too. We seem to get a lot of mileage out of the Soultaker ep for some reason.

EDIT: Aaaagh! How could I have forgotten the Cave Dwellers episode?!?!? "Thong, fish is ready!" The Shimmering Charm Shield! "He'd never fought a puppet that big before."

I've been dying for years to run a one-shot based on that movie.

The other Kevin Smith movies are decent martial also.

We get a lot of use out of Star Wars, but recently the first Bad Boys movie tops the quote list. You see, one of the NPCs is a squire named Luke. About one out of every two times his name is mentioned, someone has to say, "Her and her dogs, Luke and Dukie."

"Have fun storming the castle!" from Princess Bride takes the top spot a lot, esp. since we're playing Call of Cthulhu. (Side note: been reading the Harry Dresden books, and someone in the third book uses that line when they talk about raiding the mansion of the head vampire of Chicago).

Some vintage Monty Python. The line 'This is an ex-(whatever)' is used a lot.
