[OT/Humor] What's your "Holy Grail"?

Hmm; I'd have to say that the ones I personally quote the most are Pirates of the Caribbean("Savvy" is my new favorite word, and the "Dishonest man" speech near the end is awesome); but then Spike Lee's "Do The Right Thing" sometimes gets quoted by me too; "F--- You, F--- Your F----ing Pizza, and F--- Frank Sinatra!"

we have a fairly wide field of game-disrupting banter, centered around Star Wars, particularly the list of top 10 or 20 sexually slanted lines from each of the original 3 movies--a la "Hold me Chewie, Hold me!" or (In a stunnign Billy dee Williams impression, genuinely followed by a wink) "Hello, what have we here!?" The prequels are, shockingly, completely unquoted!

Summoner geeks is popular "No, no, now I have GREY eyes!", as is all sorts of Monty Python.

lastly, Futurama and the family guy, with a focus on futurama, since I have an npc based entirely on Doctor Hubert T. Farnsworth IMC. "Good news! It's a suppository!" and "...then if cop a feel I must, then cop a feel I shall!" being among MY favorite lines. The episode that actually had Gary Gygax, Al Gore, and Uhura in it gets a fair amount of quotes, as well.

For the old timers in our group the movie we still quote a lot to this day is, Sword and the Sorcerer. Yup. Believe it or not. Think what you may of this movie, but there are too many good one-liners in this movie to pass up. Examples:

When the DM says a bunch of monsters suddenly show up, a PC will usually say: "Who dies first?!"

When an NPC talks trash to you, the PC responds: "That's a small threat...that's a VERY small threat."

When the fighters all want to kill the same creature, all will say this: "He's MINE!" (done is Cromwell's high pitched delivery of course.)

After someone takes damage: "Don't worry little girl, it won't hurt until it hits the bone."

For no reason what's so ever: "What your problem, potato-head?"

After the DM describes the biggest, baddest, ugliest, nether region monstrosity ever to bear down on us, a smart-alec PC will say: "I will allow you to live as long as you serve me, betray me, and I will joyfully send you back to rot in hell."

And the BEST line ever to start an adventure with: "Come now, let's be off. There's a battle in the offering! We've got kingdoms to save and women to love!"

There are many more from this movie but those are the first that come to mind. Hey, 3-bladed sword aside, this movie ruled.

How could I have forgotten!?!?!

Sealab 2021, Aquateen Hungerforce, and Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law are old Favorites! Cartoon network is a WEALTH of nerdiness!

"METEORS DID IT! Now that'll be twenty dollars...."

"Damned Shark!"

"OOOOOH Goodness! You are a perfect killing machine!"

hehehe. I love Cartoons....

Well, whatever get's in my head.

Even some FR-Novels have good ones:

"Calm down girls, you're both pretty!" (works best if one of the two is female)

"Where in the nine hells did you get the notion that I fight fair?" (really can be used a lot of times)

"Never let common sense get in the way of a good hate"

And somehow, the good old "He's dead, Jim" slips my lips every now and again.

BTW: Where does that "Damn Axe" quote come from (I only know the German "Verdammte Axt" - It has to be from a movie or something, but noone seems to know where exactly. It is a couple of years old)

Our last campaign saw me getting a lot of use out of "You forget that when you're drunk, I'm in charge!" from Willow. This was thanks to the fact that my character (a halfling rogue) was the employer of the party barbarian as well as the fact that he was always drinking.

We're also prone to using "RUN AWAY!!!" when we, well, run away.

"Listen, do you smell something?"

"Get her? That was your big plan?"

"Right, [slaps down visor] Charge!"

"Run away! Run away!"

"I'm not quite dead yet sir."

"It's only a flesh wound."

"Listen up you primitive screwheads. This is my bang stick!"

"Come get some."

"Give me some sugar baby."

"KLAATU, BARATA, nmnmrmmnl"

"Spoon!"

"Not in the Face! Not in the Face!"

"Have fun storming the castle."

"Because good is dumb."

"You don't know it, but you are already dead!"
