OT I have asked this elsewhere :( This is sad news

Monday evening a fellow gamer, actually a convert to D&D, and a very close friend of mine was hit by a car on his way home from a session. He's 19 years old, with dreams of Joining the navy to serve his country, a great starcraft player, and a good hearted person. He is in the hospital in serious condition with both legs broken, one knee pulverized and beyond repair, a concussion, and some unknown liver damage.

This is just to ask that you all wish him good health and a speedy recovery, and for those that pray give him a good word with the man upstairs. With a little more luck and a lot of ummph! He should make it through the potentially dangerous time. Thanks for the support

Hope he'll be up and about in record time. On the up side he'll have time to catch up on his reading.

When hes up for it get him a laptop with starcraft and some other games, hospitals can be really boring.

The Laptops already in the works, as well as few books, and a long and heavy schedule of chess sessions, We even thought to take D&D to him so he could run around in imagination and knock his frustrations out on orks, and Goblins, and PC's oh my.
But it got scrubbed by the people in scrubs.

I just got a call on my cell from his mom with some good news his liver was bruised, no Lascerations or anything very serious there and the worries about internal bleeding, and liquid in the lungs seem mute. So lord willing, he'll make it out with some scars and some metal rods in his knees. But he's breathing, and that is the best thing I can think of in the world right at the moment
