Jason is a classic, figure of horror. He's your basic, unstoppable, unkillable, indestructable monster. The classic boogyman, like the terminator, he won't stop coming until he has killed you. He never shows emotion, no fear, pain or shock. Just exists to kill. The concept is far more interesting than any of the actual movies.
There really isn't much to spoil about the Friday the 13th movies. Add bunch of teenagers, some lame excuse for Jason showing up again. Sit back for an hour and a half as the halpless teenagers get slaughtered by the hockey masked Jason as he kills them in various brutal ways while they futilely try to fight him off.
The details and the actors change from movie to movie, but there really is little difference between them. It's simply an exercise in coming up with different methods of slaughtering teenagers. The end is forordained. Until the last 5 minutes of the film nothing any of the characters do will accomplish anything more than slow him down slightly and they all exist simply to be killed.
If you want a good horror film try the first two Hellraiser films (after that they get dumb).
