Scary! I live in a flat, and I guess you were lucky! Sorry to hear about the losses...

If you don't have renter's insurance Ferret I highly recommend it. It's helped me twice so far (my apartment was once broken into) and this time it's a saving grace.
My goal is to decide on a new place today by noon. Just need this decision overwith so I can move my stuff and start up my life again.
