Always wanted to say that.

But, it's not entirely true. I'm looking for a game. Someone on here mentioned that there is a software out there that enables people to make ZELDA (The Legend of,)-like games for PC. You know, the tile-based game. I found something last night called Zelda PC, but I couldn't figure out how to get my sound card to work in DOS, so I gave up. That, and I couldn't figure out how to go into caves, so it seemed kind of pointless.

What I really want to play is the original NES Zelda game. So, I tried to find the NES Emulator with little successful. I found one that required me to compile it myself! And then there was another site that wanted to charge for it. Crazy.

Failing that, I just want something to play. My PC is outdated (300 Celeron) so most new games are out of the question. I've played all the Baldur's Gates, and I just got through playing Starcraft, so now I need something else, and something free would be preferred.

So, anyone know of a freeware/shareware (rpg-preferred) game somewhere? Or, where I can snag the Zelda ROM and the NES emulator? I have MAME, but those games tend to get old pretty fast.

My suggestion is to head over to --------------------- and look in their console emulators section. The site's kind of slow, but they've got a ton of roms. Good luck!

Wow, you're right, it is slow, but I was able to get the ROM. Thanks.

Even saw something called "Lesbian Tennis" which I might have to go back for. :)

Neowolf, how do I interpret all these codes and symbols after the game name? Like, for Super Mario Bros, they've got like 20 entries, and each has some sort of version number and a code following it. What do they mean?

Ok, you're a net loser. It's "Cool dude" speak for hacker-talk. They replace the letters with numbers. 733t means "LEET" which is short for "elite" which is hacker-speak for hard-to-find or ultra-cool. "Warez" is short for software, or illegal software that one searches for on the internet or steals from somewhere.

To be honest, I don't know what all the numbers/letters/symbols mean. The ones with after them seem to be the original version of the rom, while the others are hacked versions (I'm guessing).
