(OT) NFL Playoffs

Well that turned out to be a crazy first weekend of the playoffs. Looks like a good set of games next week. I would be pretty happy except for the fact that I hate the 49rs. Looking forward to the Jets/Raiders game and the Eagles/Falcons.

Being a European, I do not have the deep rooted fascination for American Football. However in the latter years, where a danish TV station has been showing the NFL on a regular basis, I have been following it off-handedly. But this year I must say, I have seen some very exciting and close games, perhaps IMO the best year ever from a bystanders POW.

I saw the Wild Card games last night (our time), and the tension and suspense was mindboggeling. Add to that the danish commentators were extremely good and enthusiatic, and you have an all-out good experience (even if does mean I do not get anymore than 3 hours of sleep).

Btw, all the teams the danish commentator predicted going to play-off did, and he also correctly picked the winning teams in the Wild Card Week-end.

Just a thought, though...

(EDIT: ...and sorry for all the spelling mistakes. Learn to live with it.)

Anyone who has been watching Maddox all season would know that the Steelers don't collapse any more. That was Stewart who collapsed like a house of cards in the face of adversity.

I will say that a defibrilator would have been very handy for us Stillers fans during that game.

Ya, and poor Butch Davis has yet to beat the Steelers. Well, hopefully the steelers can beat the Titans Saturday (3-0 against that franchise in the playoffs!!), but of course they are a little better now.

Ya, Tenessee is a different team now. Different than the start of the season even! They finally have gotten over their injuries and are looking in top form. Now, if they can keep McNair healthy throughout the playoffs, they could be tough. It just seems like that guy is about to fall apart any minute, but he just seems to hold it together game after game

I still see Oakland going all the way for the AFC. New York will be a tough challenge though. I can't remember the last time I saw such a balanced team! Not overpowering, but you just can't find a real weakness to exploit!

In conclusion,

Saturday games - complete crap and utterly boring!!!

Sunday games - unbelievably exciting with great comebacks!!!

3 great games to watch in one weekend. The OSU/Miami game was awesome. Best college game I have seen in a long time. Both teams deserve to be considered champs, but I was rooting for OSU, so I was thrilled when they won.

Browns/Steelers. I have to say, I thought the Steelers were done early. I did not think they would come back, but I kept hoping. What a finish. Thanks for a great game, Brownies, good luck next year. Here We Go, Steelers, Here We Go!

Niners/Giants. My only dissappointment. I have liked the Giants ever since college, and I root for them after the Steelers. I guess after watching that game, I know how the Brown's fans felt.

Heh now they're saying Giants should have gotten another chance at a kick on the last play. But I think with the way things were going, they would have flubbed it anyway.

Salt in the wounds for me, as a Giants fan.

The D should have never let it get that far but it just hurts even more now. There is a good chance that Bryant would have hit the FG based on last week in Philly. But he never got the chance. I am crestfallen...
