DUCKS! DUCKS! DUCKS! DUCKS! DUCKS!

Another Shutout! Jiggy is a machine! He had his one bag game against Dallas, and that is it! 10 wins down only 6 more to go for the Cup!

Oh, I was wrong on my last post. He is 2:07 away from the OT shutout record not the regular period shutout record. Although he has to be getting close going over 2 games without a goal!

Stanley Cup Playoff Record -- Most Consecutive Shutout Minutes:

248m, 32s - Norm Smith, Detroit, 1936. In best-of-five SF, Smith shut out Mtl. Maroons 1-0, Mar. 24, in 116:30 overtime, shut out Maroons 3-0 in second game, Mar. 26, and was scored against at 12:02 of first period Mar. 29, by Gus Marker. Detroit won SF 3-0.

Cheers

I enjoy defensive hockey. (hello dallas won a cup with it) but I can't stand clutch/grab/hook/hold hockey. thats crap. it lets a no talent hack player bring himself up to the level of the most talented forwards in the world. please. where are the calls of hooking/obstruction we were promised. hell in the ducks/wild game 2 i saw a wild player tripped 5 ft from the goal and he had the puck. no call. please, what a load. don't get me wrong, if there was a way for both the ducks and the wild to lose i would be for that ;) but it won't happen. So i hope my eastern conference team (the sens) can pull it out, but i have tremendous respect for the devils and broduer that guy is just a horse.
just my thoughts

So who all thinks that the Ducks are going to sweep the Wild? And will we see the Wild get a goal before this series is over.

I can't wait to see who plays in the finals.

I don't want to take anything away from Brodeur, but from what I saw of last night's game the Devils are taking advantage of the refs being soft on obstruction to take away the Sens speed advantage. The devils are great at knowing exactly where the line is on obstruction and skating right along it. Sounds like sour grapes when my team lost. But I didn't like it when the Leafs did it in the early 90s, either.

At the beginning I thought that this series would showcase a head-to-head matchup between the Sens speed and the best goaltender in the NHL (Giguere is playing great, but he has to sustain it for more than one season to be considered the best). I'm disappointed that a potentially great series has turned into a competetive taffy-pull.

Cheers

I would love to see the Ducks sweep the Wild. And as far as the Wild never scoring a goal. That would be just fine with me as well. Heck I don't care if they do score. But not until the 3rd period of game 4. Jiggy must get his final 35 mins to get the SO streak record for the NHL.

Careful, a Wild animal is most dangerous when it's backed into a corner. Just ask Colorado and Vancuver.

That being said, after watching games 2 & 3 I'm not too optimistic. :(

I'll agree. Wheres the wide open hockey we were promised at the seasons beginning? This 2 rule system of regular vs. playoff hockey blows. Give me physical grind-out big hit crash the net bump the goalie ram the boards toss over the bench hockey. but don't give me water skiing, hooking, holding, slashing, obstucting, crap fest. I love hockey, I watched everygame of the playoffs last year even though my team didn't make the cut. Because those were some hella great games. This year is just boring. I'm sure it's great if your team is still in, and that is my point. If it gets to the point that it's not enjoyable to watch the GAME of hockey, there is a problem.
My Opinion

Understandable. Since Game 6 of the second round, the schedule's been an absolute killer for Minnesota. They're a good team, but they won't last much longer.

And it looks to me like the Devils have the Sens number.
