So today, in the obscenely treacherous traffic from my house to the city where I work , I get in behind a car with the license plate :

5300 XP

and I turn to MojoGM and say "Hey that would make her about 3rd level, almost 4th"...

Is that sad?

;)

Not at all. :)

Now if you had seen that back in 1st edition and said "That would make him an xxth level fighter, or an xxth level mage!"...

Well, then.. yes, maybe then. But not now.

Every time I pass by the D&D Beauty Supply, and the D&D Gunsmiths in town, I think to myself, "I wonder what kind of makeover Krusk would get?" or "I could see Regdar trading in his greatsword for an Ithaca Pump-action, and thinking, 'yeah, baby'..."

We used to have a C&W dance hall in my hometown called Denim and Diamonds, commonly referred to as D&D. Even though I wasn't really gaming in high school anymore, I still couldn't hear that acronym and not make the mental leap to a bunch of cowboys rolling dice and filling their spitoons with Redman. ;)

I commonly talk about failing my Will save vs. buying movies, CDs, books, lunch, etc.

We have a D&D Heating and Air in town, which always makes me think of elementals everytime I hear my furnace kick on.

The local Golden Pantry had "D&D Sandwiches" (Deli and Dash brand) up on their specials board for a long time, I understood then why I never could ID the meat in them.

For a long time back in my Car Wars days, I'd think "ouch, rolled a 6" evertime I passed a car wreck.

PC just doesn't mean Personal Computer or Politically Correct to me. I have a moment of confusion each and every time I hear those two letters together.

When one of my group of friends tells a particularly bad joke, we accuse them of causing sanity loss.

It's not specifically a D&D reference, but Cthulhu's d20 now, so it's close enough...
