[OT] What sport do you Play?

Mainly I hike, and I manage a pick up basketball game now and then. I'd do more, but I can't find anyone my age who wants to participate in the sports I enjoy. Unfortunately, the only sports my colleagues are involved in and softball and soccer, so I'm short on common interest. Softball bores me twice as much as baseball does (and that's saying something), and I'm just not built for soccer. Hockey is also big around here, but as much as I love the sport, when you put me on skates I'm a danger to myself and others, which wipes that out as an option.

Took kali for a while, but it required too much money and too much driving every week to get to the only place in Central NY that offered classes in anything other than Tae Kwon Do or heavily Americanized karate (think the bad-guy dojo from "The Karate Kid").

Man, I miss playing American football. Maybe I can track down an adult rugby club in the area...

Yeah, I play some Blood Bowl too.

I'm more of a sports freak than a D&D player.

When younger, it was with various competitive Soccer and Basketball teams. I still manage to play both sports alot for a hobby, along with cross-country running and cycling. The last couple years, I've been doing various organized running events, and now I'm making the crossover into duathalons and triathalons (with aspirations of competing in the Kona Ironman within the next few years).

I spend 30+ hours a week (out of free time) involved in some kind of sport (mostly training/running though).

D&D and reading/writing are what I like to do while my poor overworked & sore body recovers. :)

Well, I'm into swimming, skiing, volleyball, fencing, and martial arts... do those count? <G>

Can't think of a reason why not. Of course, to me, sliding down a mountain on a pair of sticks sounds less like a good time than an exercise in bowel control. But then, some of my friends have said the same about careening through churning water in a rubber boat. So I guess it's a matter of perspective.

i play the world's game!

football! and we are not meaning that american variety either.
